The GR Yaris Intake was developed through extensive data logging of temperatures, flow rates and bench testing. Since it is a turbo engine, heat and volume were the main focus during development. This intake system is designed to provide the highest possible flow rate while maintaining the lowest possible intake temperatures. Each component has been designed to provide a smooth and free flow path for the turbo. By ensuring a sealed system, we have improved the IATs of the OEM airbox while increasing the internal volume to reduce pressure drop and therefore turbo pumping losses. This allows the turbo to work more efficiently and therefore reaches peak boost pressure sooner, resulting in a net increase in power. The filter itself has an outer diameter of 210 mm or 8.3″ with a filter surface area of over 130,000 mm^2. The patented Venturi housing was designed to provide the GR Yaris with the largest possible internal volume and ensure laminar flow to the turbo tube.
